Eric Lund was Life Vice President of The Biggleswade History Society and apart from a spell of National Service after the war he lived in Biggleswade from the age of two. His knowledge of all things local and his pleasure in sharing that knowledge and his willingness to get actively involved in community life enriched not only the society over the long years of his membership but were also of great benefit to the many local organisations in which he played an active role. In his quiet, thoughtful and unassuming way, he was a pillar of the Biggleswade community.
