A short history of the Biggleswade History Society has been written by Ken Page.

The Biggleswade History Society has the primary objective of promoting the advancement of public education through the study of local history in Biggleswade.  The objective is achieved by:

• Holding monthly meetings and outings
• Distribution of a monthly newsletter
• Holding and supporting exhibitions
• Representation at County meetings
• Publication of historical booklets
• Supporting conservation and preservation
• Local and family history research
• Registering our interests in conservation, heritage and history at the Biggleswade Community Liaison Forum and, through review of planning applications, to Mid Beds District Council

Membership is open to all who are interested in furthering this objective.
